Also anyone in Colorado, remember to vote no on 310. It doesn't make vaping illegal, it just causes all the shops in denver to have to close and drive their businesses outside the city limits. My wonderful Sudanese friends would lose everything they've built in their shop.

If only @WillZimmerman8 had noted that Juul filed a PMTA for its age-gated device *27 months* ago, when the statute requires review within 180 days. Also no mention of what Juul obviously hopes can come in the future w/ an age-gated device: the return of mango for adults.
This essentially calls @FDATobacco's bluff. It should be immediately authorized because it further prevents youth usage, which has already been holding at record lows for other products without this key technology.

Yglesias' article is worth reading as a broad overview. I wish he'd considered whether nicotine (not smoking) is an issue national Democrats should moderate on. Top comment from @dilanesper:
For over a decade, regulating the cigarette industry was a top-tier political issue with Bill Clinton and Al Gore regularly giving major speeches about their struggles against Big Tobacco. By the time progressives won under Obama, people barely cared.
