@JoannaTeglund "Complexity and the risks with face masks..." We have used face masks to fight pandemics since the 16th century at least, here in Japan I have been using them since I was a little kid with a sniffle in elementary school. The nerve of these politicians... keep it up indeed.

@dgurdasani1 Its like the people who never care about womens sports, but suddenly become its staunchest defenders when trans people are brought up, even when theyre brought up outside of any sports conversation

We see you. The way you come for every single minority and make our lives collectively worse. Immigrants, asylum seekers, people with disabilities, the LGBTQ community. We stand together against your hate.

Patients- not therapists- should decide whether goal of treatment is simple symptom.relief Vs more ambitious personality change. My goal with all patients is that they leave treatment happier, more confident, & hopeful about ther future.

@DavidPuder @AllenFrancesMD Q: what is the goal you usually set for treatment with your patients? Is it mainly symptom reduction, or there is any other change you seek to achieve (e.g. personal growth, greater sense of purpose/freedom, self-knowledge...)?

What don't I like about the new CDC covid isolation advice? Crudely, it's, "covid has changed; we can change our behavior now". I prefer, "covid has changed the world; we need to keep our behavior modified". TL;DR it's an abdication of duty by CDC.

In contrast to his claim, and the PHA report mentioned, Swedish research finds that: "Among lower-secondary teachers, the infection rate doubled relative to upper-secondary teachers (...) This spilled over to the partners of lower-secondary teachers." https://t.co/0Xkckaqq0H
