I’m not convinced that doctors spend thousands of hours performing admin tasks because the divisional triumvirate isn’t a quinquevirate. More chief culture officers won’t free up doctors, managers who value doctors and don’t attempt to replace them might. Also EPIC and UpToDate.
The NHS spends less money on management than ANY equivalent health system - this is one of the results.

This is becoming quite worrying. 1 Repeatedly tell a group that they’re under threat (acid attacks, genocide references). 2 Tell them to be mistrustful of usual avenues of support. 3 Tell them you will provide “everything” for them if they have sufficient faith.
An appalling allegation that undermines trust in doctors. Treated a gamut of patients, including those I've not found to be personable, all the way through to people convicted of the worst of crimes. They were all treated the same way - as a vulnerable human being in need of help

This sort of thing is most damaging to nursing and advanced practice - medicine will be fine, eventually . But if advanced nursing is working as an SHO then what does that say about bedside nursing? 2/2.

Come justify this one, consultant enablers. Tell us how everyone sticks to their scope of practice. No doctor would scab to undermine nurses’ industrial action, and no doctor would have the arrogance to assume that they could replace a nurse . 1/2.
@theRCN why are nurses working dangerously above their scope replacing resident doctors ? . Didn’t you just release comms about role substitution ? . This isn’t safe or acceptable

I’d encourage everyone to have a read of this (donation optional). Concentrate on the consequences of MAPs assisting doctors - the pretence of not replacing doctors is gone. How did the NHS become so dependent on assistants working as pseudo-doctors?.

This is the class of consultants who replace doctors with PAs because “AI requires workforce innovation”. Two finger typists should not be betting our health on algorithms they don’t understand.
@drmattuk @Melissa_S_Ryan And yet consultants have refused to come in - apparently due to their discomfort with the EPR. We have told the trust to invoke business continuity and use paper if the EPR is such a significant blocker, rejecting further requests for derogations.
