Your Personality Type Based on The Poet You Read When You're Sad: a thread.
Personality Type by Poet You Read: Part 1.~Robert Frost: you're practical, down-to-earth, see metaphors in everything.~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow: you're an optimist, family-centered, might have a ginormous beard.~Edgar Allan Poe: you never leave the house and have like 3 friends.

RT @spellgage: Also, saying “IF baptism were part of the Gospel” as if baptism isn’t literally part of the Gospel

Bastille the band saw y'all's never ending debate on here about it. This is y'all's fault.
The fact that I have to say "I refuse to listen to the new song Bastille released that's just Bathsheba cussing out David for killing Uriah the Hittite". Like what audience did they think they'd be reaching????.

There was a man on my university campus who looked so much like young Abe Lincoln that I did a double take every time I saw him. I called him Starbucks Lincoln because that's where it first happened. I wanted to tell him so badly but I never got up the nerve.
My favorite thing about this tweet is that people were basically saying it to Lincoln all the time when he was alive

You can just believe every wonderful thing the Bible says about baptism is true simultaneously. You don't have to pick just one!.
I see a lot of arguing on here about baptism—does it wash away your sins? Install you in covenant with God? Or is it done as a response to belief in the gospel?. Friends. The Bible says it is all three of those things. (Acts 22:16; Col. 2:11; Mark 16:16; Col. 2:12).

I have not read War and Peace yet, but the secret to reading long books is actually to let yourself read them at the pace that works for you rather than imposing an expectation upon yourself.
The entire Harry Potter series is 1,000,000 words long. War and Peace is only 600,000 words long. If you can read Harry Potter, you can read War and Peace, and you should.
