What if you could deliver molecular tools directly into oocytes without microinjection? In our new paper, online today @Dev_journal ( https://t.co/ryxCG1MVKy), we introduce VitelloTag, a new cargo delivery tool to enable injection-free genome editing. 👇Read on for a short 🧵

Loss of ETS sites in the ZRS enhancer of Shh has been linked to limb reduction in snakes. Here is another example of independent ETS site mutations in the ZRS linked to fin reduction in some lungfishes. Congrats to all authors of this tour de force study! https://t.co/BvWnWDKnrG

Happy to share @AnastasiaLabud1 PhD paper now out in @Dev_journal 🐟🧬 Cohesin composition and dosage independently affect early development in zebrafish https://t.co/nZFIRQQWIN - we show that cohesin 'amount' vs 'flavour' matters differently to zebrafish embryos!

Summary: Viable zebrafish mutants show that cohesin complex quantity versus composition leads to different transcriptional and developmental outcomes in the early embryo.

It took more than a DECADE... but finally it’s published!!! It started as a CRAZY idea but after tons of hard work we built it: We hijacked the endogenous secretion systems of Toxoplasma gondii, a brain parasite, to deliver active proteins to neurons 👇 https://t.co/I2j2pAel69

...So could this be the most common cause of #DEE as well as the second most common cause of neurodevelopmental delay after MECP2/Rett syndrome? MECP2 is a huge gene, though, and this RNU4-2 is tiny- so it is being hit at a remarkably high rate of mutation..
