Bigger and better. This marvellous enrichment of central London by @FTerryArchitect has recently been granted planning permission. Bravo

What a spectacular improvement. If more new buildings were such a palpable IMPROVEMENT on the status quo would more than 2% of people trust developers to improve existing places? Well done @FTerryArchitect

This is a tweet posted in 2019. #Clandon should do the same. Replace what was lost, faithfully. What is the point of heritage legislation if that isn’t done?
If I got the commission to rebuild Notre Dame’s tower I would replace what was lost faithfully. Paris has suffered enough

Mid twentieth century design was creating a better world, evolving eternal patterns to bigger buildings & higher streets. Here pilasters, & spandrels, cornices, a mezzanine first storey and a string set back help this six storey building improve the street. Gentle Density

“I say barbarous because it's a complete lack of confidence that we can rebuild what was there.” The National Trust’s decision not to restore the ruined Clandon Park House is “barbarous", classical architect @FTerryArchitect tells #TimesRadio. @HugoRifkind

Should we rebuild the starting gates of Colchester Roman Circus to boost the city's economy & place-appeal? We're delighted to be supporting the inspiring @FTerryArchitect to this end. Later we might move on to ...

As @FTerryArchitect writes "Colchester was a town of immense importance during the Roman period. It was to Colchester that the Emperor Claudius came all the way from Rome (possibly on Elephants) to receive the surrender of the British tribal chiefs. At the time of Vesuvius’s

What a delicately detailed building the M&S on Oxford Street is. These drawings will be lovely
I'm planning on doing a drawing of the Oxford St M&S building which is earmaked for demolition. I went in yesterday to take a few detailed photos and take some measurements, here are a few highlights.

Absolutely!
@FTerryArchitect Mainly evocative of a complete failure of @nationaltrust, who should have done an Uppark.

I wonder how many of the senior staff at @marksandspencer know in their hearts that they called this one completely wrong. Most I suspect.

While the French celebrate the rebuilding of Notre Dame, the National Trust has decided to leave the majestic Clandon Park as an evocative ruin following its devastating fire. History will not remember this decision kindly. It must be rebuilt, they have the insurance money
The planned restoration of Clandon Park, which was destroyed by fire in 2015, will show it as a "country house laid bare" as proposals move forward. Tap below to read more: https://t.co/iW6DdEUVn5

"There is still no national policy on embodied carbon emissions. It’s a broken model that incentivises demolition and it needs to change." SAVE director Henrietta Billings writes in @Arch_Today as M&S get permission to demolish their Oxford Street store: 👀 https://t.co/GBhRszA9pC
