A mantra, Bishop argued, could and should be applied to our built environment as we shift our expectations and demands of buildings to provide good, enduring value.

Peter Bishop also slipped in a great quote from Leonard Cohen, who recalled a visit to the Chief Exec of Columbia Records who said "Leonard we know your great but we don't know if you're any good.".

Finally, thank you to Peter Bishop for rounding off the day with some fitting closing remarks, reminding us how important it is that buildings be designed and built so that they can continue to be adapted, used and perform for generations to come.
