📈@Food_Foundation data shows more healthy foods are over 2x as expensive per calorie as less healthy foods. Citizens, farmers & businesses want govt to make food fair & start joining the dots between food, income, health & economy. First 💯 Days asks👇 https://t.co/kVtnEMDvEr

NEW: Cheaper grocery products rose in price much faster than expensive products between 2021 and 2023. This ‘cheapflation’ meant poorer households were hit much harder by inflation than official figures show. THREAD on @Tao_Chenn @levell_peter & Martin O'Connell’s paper: [1/8]

New polling from @HealthFdn & @Ipsos on #UPF. Citizens in #TheFoodConversation consistently back the ‘polluter pays’ model, redistributing revenue from those damaging health & environment to support availability of healthy food & sustainable farming. 👉 https://t.co/vhtwvR1L2m

Great piece from @JoeWStanley. The UK’s food system will only be secure if we make it more resilient. This includes protecting nature & wildlife, as well as changes beyond farming e.g. creating fairer supply chains. More in our latest working paper 👇 https://t.co/bbgsVJrjJQ

Good points from @StarkClimate on a #LandUseFramework. We're looking forward to working with @energygovuk @SciTechgovuk @mhclg @DefraGovUK & others to create participatory processes around land use - to ensure stakeholders are engaged with early & community needs are being met.

There seems to be a lot of people I know & admire being sucked in by the propaganda driving all this rioting & violence. Please don’t be drawn into this thinly veiled race-hate by those that seek to divide us. Instead we should be reaching out to support those being victimised.
