Reaching for the Notwithstanding Clause on issues affecting kids should concern all of us. Trans kids are kids and they deserve safety, compassion, & the freedom to be themselves. And with tariffs looming and families under real pressure, our focus should be on helping people.

“OLP need to provide a real alternative to Ford’s managed decline, and that starts with embracing messages on anti-corruption and education that show our commitment on issues that matter, and that show that the gravy train will end. Otherwise, the party will continue to languish”

I do wonder how much of the neighbourhood character we enjoy today wouldn't exist if we took this same approach to new housing over the past century.

I need people to understand that when NIMBYs say they'll support housing if only it fits with neighbourhood character or isn't 40 storeys or is in the "right" place they are not telling the truth. No location, no size, and no beautiful or historic design will satisfy them.

Today, we spoke on the rise of extortion and our commitment to take action to protect Canadians. At every turn, the Conservatives have not supported any public safety measures we’ve put forward to keep Canadians safe. Enough is enough—time to put the safety of Canadians first.

Sadly, ONT is a drag on Canada’s unemployment rate under the PC gov, and it was rising long before U.S. tariffs. This government’s plan is not working for workers. I recently shared just how big the problem is with the Minister of Finance. Have a listen. #onpoli

While different levels of government have different responsibilities, the biggest challenges we face tend to reach across all of us. That's why I was so excited last week to host my municipal and provincial counterparts @JoshMatlow and @StephanieSmyth for a Town Hall discussion

Today, in the House of Commons, I rose to commemorate the 92nd anniversary of the famine-genocide in Ukraine known as the Holodomor, when Joseph Stalin closed Ukraine's borders and confiscated all food to destroy a Ukrainian population opposed to his rule. 19 people per minute,

You would never see this written about the Ukrainian flag. All flags are political. You can't arbitrarily decide which ones are divisive and which ones are not. The councillor can attend or skip any flag-raising he chooses, but to ban the ones he doesn't like is un-Canadian.

Today’s Palestinian flag-raising at City Hall required a massive police presence simply to keep order. Reality speaks for itself: this was never a diplomatic or cultural ceremony, but a political demonstration posing predictable risks and burdens for the City — burdens the public

I’ll be voting against Bill 33 today. Bill 33 is a power-grab that centralizes control, sidelines local voices, and opens the door to political interference from child welfare to K-12 to post-secondary. Students, families, and educators deserve better. #onpoli #onted

Is Poilievre suggesting that Brexit was Carney's fault, and that it's repeatable?

Mark Carney is importing to Canada the same financial disaster that he caused in the UK as Bank Governor there. Wherever he shows up, inflation goes up, paycheques shrink, housing costs balloon, and living standards collapse. That’s the cost of Carney.

The province's actions, together with it's inability to build or encourage necessary housing, is setting us up for massive social deficit. When affordable housing or rent becomes so difficult to find, we push people onto the streets, into the hospitals, and into the morgues.

#Bill60 will likely be passed this week, and it will grow homelessness across Ontario — something our food banks, shelters, and municipalities do not have the resources to address. When you wonder why encampments are growing in your community, remember Bill 60. My remarks:

It’s clearly not enough for Doug Ford to fire his Minister of Labour. When Steve Clark was caught up amid the Greenbelt scandal, he was barely put in timeout. The opposition needs to be pushing for viable solutions to fight corruption, and to stop the waste at Queen’s Park.

After Alex died, we fought hard for measures to calm traffic on Dufferin. People celebrated when they cut down the speed camera that was installed nearby. It is a bitter pill to see this guy talk about safety.

While I was out today, I took a moment to stop by Alex Amaro's ghost bike. The flowers are fresh; a stark contrast to traffic on Dufferin.
