"It's just great to see steady, grown-up, thoughtful politics" - former Tory minister @SayeedaWarsi "I thought it was extraordinarily classy" - @LukeJSullivan Tonight's #PoliticsHub panel discuss Sir Ed Davey's comments about Angela Rayner. https://t.co/GlTNastFii 📺 Sky 501

The special educational needs and disabilities system needs reform, but any change must have children at its heart, not a Treasury drive for savings by removing rights in a vacuum. The Govt must put an end to rumours and come clean with families about its plans.

Proud to join @childrensociety @Oasis_UK @unicef_uk in listening to young people about their experiences and calling on the Government to invest in childhood for a brighter future. Far too many children in the UK are growing up in poverty, denied the opportunity to thrive.

Dodging the rain showers to talk to voters in Bushey with our fabulous candidate for County Council, Cllr Christopher Shenton. Lots of good feedback about Bushey Country Club, and Chris saving Kemp Place car park from closing. #happyvibes #LibDems @HertsmereLD

Absolutely delighted that the Government has confirmed this vital fund will continue, but I should NOT have had to drag ministers kicking and screaming to the House of Commons to do so, the day AFTER it expired. Families must not be put in this position again next year.
The Minister for Children and Families @JanetDaby has confirmed a renewal of the Adoption and Special Guardianship Support Fund (ASGSF) with £50 million investment in 2025-26. Although welcome, this comes after a period of intense uncertainty and worry for #KinshipFamilies. 👪

Very disappointing that the Prime Minister refused to confirm whether vulnerable children and their carers will continue to get the support they need through the Adoption & Special Guardianship Support Fund, which is due to end next week.

It’s so disappointing to see this Government risk losing its moral compass. Pupils can’t learn on empty stomachs and we need to be doing everything in our power to ensure that we give children the best opportunities to succeed in school.

The legal limits on nitrogen dioxide levels have been breached for years in the area surrounding Heathrow. A third runway will only exacerbate the damaging impacts of pollution on the environment and our local communities.

Too many children who are eligible for #freeschoolmeals are missing out, including from some of the poorest families in our communities. I asked Ministers to support @LibDems calls to automatically enrol ALL eligible children.

A disastrous decision for our planet and our local communities who will be blighted by more noise and air pollution. The economic case is flimsy and the costs will be astronomical. If the Chancellor wants growth, she should cut red tape with the EU and reverse her jobs tax.
"A third runway is badly needed," Rachel Reeves says, as she backs expansion at Heathrow "As our only hub airport, Heathrow is in a unique position and we cannot duck the decision any longer," the chancellor adds Follow live https://t.co/w9c4HFDNVS

Ah, @SW_Help playing a blinder this morning with 2 trains in a row cancelled from Whitton station to Waterloo, leaving a 90 min gap between trains 👏🏽. Builds on a pattern of increasing complaints from constituents recently of delays and cancellations 😬.

Too many children with special educational needs are missing out on the specialist provision they need, with 2 in 3 special schools at or over capacity. I pressed ministers to provide a timeline for when the 67 planned special schools will be delivered.

This explainer on the inadequacy of the process for the assisted dying bill is exactly why @DrBenSpencer, @annalouisedixon and I have tabled an amendment to ensure we have a fully informed debate. Such a huge change needs much more work before MPs vote on it 👇🏽
