I joined @PCR_News for their report launch to discuss a national prostate cancer screening programme Too many men are diagnosed late. A national screening programme could be transformative to give men the best chance of beating this disease

This week I met with supporters and staff from @breastcancernow in parliament to celebrate #WearItPink 🩷 Delighted to find out more about the support and research they provide for everyone affected by breast cancer.

@hospiceuk @hospiceuk is calling for: 👉 Full funding of specialist palliative care provided by hospices 👉 Proper NHS contracts for hospices 👉 Funding to cover the cost of NHS pay rises for hospice staff 👉 National accountability for equitable provision of palliative care

Thank you to everyone I met at the @hospiceuk drop-in. It was valuable to hear about the incredible care being provided and the challenges our local hospice faces. We must ensure hospice care gets the support it deserves.

@AlisonEBennett Hospices suffered real-terms cuts under the last government and now face a massive National Insurance raid under this one. Our hospices need urgent support, not more financial pressure.

I've signed @AlisonEBennett's letter calling on the Government to save our hospices and act without delay to end this crisis in hospice care.

That's why the Lib Dems have a plan to clear the backlog in 6 months through Nightingale processing centres - so those who have a right to be here can work, integrate, & contribute, while those without valid claims are swiftly returned

I’m glad to have voted to stop Farage’s plans to undermine our Human Rights Leaving the ECHR would undo hard-won British rights - freedom of expression, right to investigations & more - not stop small boat crossings. Real solutions need international cooperation, not isolation
