I'm embarrassed that there are teachers who believe in learning styles. I'm embarrassed that there are schools that display nonsense posters. I'm embarrassed that there are teacher training providers that still communicate unevidenced and harmful ideas and pedagogies. But

I wonder if Chris understands that this works both ways? He regularly criticises the Loyal Orders. Will he criticise Kneecap, so that he is at least "credible," by his own standards? I doubt it...
Setting themselves up. Politicians who regularly laud and participate in parades with scores of loyalist paramilitary-affiliated bands, playing music both sectarian & laudatory of those loyalists, can not credibly criticise concert organisers for inviting Kneecap to the event.

Perpetual victimhood mentality. Only Nationalists should be allowed to speak in Chris's world.
That BBC Radio Ulster would approach Carl Frampton for a prominent interview, and not one of the scores of athletes from a nationalist background who’ve represented NI under the Ulster Banner, speaks volumes about the media framing of this story since Monday.

Republicans when they removed the Union flag from City Hall: "it's just a flag, get over it." Also Republicans about the same flag: "It offends me." Scrap the Red Hand flag. All UK sports teams play under the Union flag banner. It's simple. It's just a flag, after all 😉

There is a simple solution. No need for regional flags at all. If you represent NI, we have a flag - the Union flag. The Tricolour is the flag of RoI, not Ireland. So if you distinguish between apples and oranges, do it accurately.
A case of apples & oranges. Like the Union Flag for the UK, the Tricolour is the national flag of Ireland. The issue relates to a regional flag for the contested entity. Worth noting this issue will carry forward into a United Ireland, so it merits reasoned thinking all round.

Are we to believe that this wasn't a deliberately chosen picture by Sorcha, which will invite an inevitable pile-on on Carla Lockhart? If a male politician did this, he'd be accused of misogyny.
Proud to speak to my New Clause 1 Amendment tonight on the family farm tax. The family farm tax is wrong and I will continue to oppose it.

Seems obvious when you say it like that. And yet there are many who would deny it! Fools.
Creativity depends on what is in memory, not how long you think. New study shows that most correct solutions in a classic creativity task are produced accurately and intuitively under time pressure, with more thinking often adding little beyond what fast associative thinking

This is one of the most unimpressive pieces of journalism, about one of the most unimpressive pieces of research I've ever read. New research shows that children want to learn Irish but that their needs are not being met
thejournal.ie
Over 200 primary and post-primary students were surveyed about their opinions on learning Irish.

This proves that Gerry is just a wind-up loudmouth. This isn't a politician. This is a cheerleader. Pathetic.
Paul Givan has rightly calculated that it isn't worth the risk for his political career for him to visit Israel again. A minister forced to turn down a propaganda junket thanks to the pressure of the Palestine movement. 👏 Let's keep it up.

Knowledge-building curriculum ≠ deep learning by default. When standards drive instruction, content can stay surface-level. Comprehension depends on how meaning and thinking are taught. Read @natwexler’s full Substack: https://t.co/bYuGD1SJaS
