Kansas and Missouri are you paying attention?.You can take on CVS, out-of-state hospital systems, UHC, etc. In fact, pay close attention to the reaction of the constituents in Louisiana. They expect their state to protect them from these 800lb gorillas. We ALL expect our state.
Glad to see CVS being held accountable! . Here in Louisiana, we are leading the charge for real PBM reform and demanding transparency and accountability.

Even more so in the low-profile studies.
More than 50% of high-profile scientific findings cannot be independently reproduced by other scientists. Lab research is the worst, with irreproducibility for top publications reaching nearly 90%. This is a waste of more than $28,000,000,000 from taxpayers in America alone.

5 parts to this post by Dr Bass. For my study obsessed friends, read all 5. We need reform. I thought facts on X were “facts”, now I am beginning to think studies show means “studies show”.
New study published in the BMJ. Investigators counted 1330 clinical trials that had been retracted for misconduct or fatal errors. The researchers looked at how these bad studies corrupted healthcare guidelines used to treat patients. Their findings are horrifying. 🧵

On the other hand. Outcome based medicine? I'm back in! . Value treatments that get patients better. That is capitalism in medicine. Find treatments that work better and pay for those. #Bodyguitar @RFKJr_Official.

CMS favors the big hospitals in rules & payments and puts increasing financial strain on independent practices with every new decision. It as if they have already decided that having small practices is way too hard for them to manage because these hospital corporations find.
Why We Can’t Trust the Government with Bundled Payments. Bundled Payments for Care Improvement (BPCI) was CMS’s flagship model to move from fee-for-service to “value-based care.”.The idea: Instead of billing separately for each service, providers would receive a single payment

It is amazing how much in medicine we have to use studies as light posts rather than maps.
In the latest video in our partnership with @DGlaucomflecken, the BALANCE trial comparing 7 days of antibiotic treatment with 14 days of treatment in patients with bloodstream infection is explained. Access the article for free:
