#AGITG24 was a stellar opportunity to catch up with some of the amazing clinicians who entrust me, @CharlotteLemech @DrJoeWei and the @ScientiaAu crew with their precious patients on #phase1oncology trials. As they say, #teamwork makes the dream work! 🤩🇦🇺🎯
What kinds of patients are referred for #phase1oncology trials at @ScientiaAu? @DrChristinaTeng presents #AGITG24 poster showing >50% patients with @GIcancer enrolled on trials come from outside metro Sydney. 👏 #babysteps for equity to trial access 📈

A thread worth going through! Thank you Dr @teachplaygrub
1/Do radiologists sound like they are speaking a different language when they talk about MRI? T1 shortening what? T2 prolongation who? Here’s a translation w/an introductory thread to MRI.

An important study! Not all DCs are the same. At least in mice, DCs that can cross-prime activate tumour specific T cells. Using PBMCs derived DC for dendritic cell therapy may be suboptimal. #immunology
#ScienceSaturday Dendritic cells (DCs) play a critical role in activating CD4 and CD8 positive T cells to mediate the immune response against cancers. ❓But which DCs are the most important in triggering cancer-specific T cells? ➡️ In a recent report published in

Amazing work. The more we understand the immune system, the better we can utilise it. The immune system is not only T cells. We need to learn to orchestrate the immune system better. NK cells, antigen presenting cells, B cells, chemokines, cytokines... We can, and will do better!
