Some residents admitted 3 times as many patients with pneumonia than their peers Most differences persisted when controlling for time What does this mean for readiness for unsupervised practice? Should and how could we account for this variation in educational design? 3/

Methods: Over a 10-year period (2010-19), we linked senior IM residents to the patients they cared for during overnight call Then we measured case exposure variables across 6 domains (eg volumes, acuity) We observed large differences in resident experiences 2/

Excited for our work featured in @JAMANetworkOpen! We found wide variation in case exposures (eg patient diagnoses) between IM residents and training sites, even in the same program @amdrewlam @sginsburg1 @Brian_M_Wong @UofT_DoM However, there are many unanswered questions 1/

Medicine is complex, but I'd argue most topics can be boiled down to a single one pager. And yes that is what inspired my book of one pagers! Available on amazon in 🇨🇦 ( https://t.co/YVMgMJMHRC) & the 🇺🇸 ( https://t.co/q0CIAbTbCF)

It was an honour to speak about the implementation of #CBME in Canada at the 2024 Peruvian Psychiatric Association Annual Congress @WPA_Psychiatry @SEPsiq @APApsychiatric #MedEd. I focused my talk on 3 main themes: (1) A List: Perceptions of CBME as feeling like a “checklist” 1/3

A glorious day at @SickKidsNews with @AtkinsonAdelle So grateful for the time & the tour #sorrynotsorry for encouraging you to eat veg that’s freshly out the mud (I love the flavour of freshly picked produce) If Adelle gets tetanus, it totally isn’t my fault #medtwitter
