Really interesting to hear @geoffreyhinton speak at King’s College Cambridge about the current state of AI. Reading work by Tegmark and Bostrom about existential threats is part of what first sparked my interest in AI so very exciting to listen to “the Godfather of AI” himself

In our latest paper below, we explore how simple techniques can improve the fit of surgical and KN95 masks. As well as testing techniques that had been suggested in existing literature, we also sought to try fit hacks that gained social media attention.

In our previous research (, we’ve found that N95 masks are incredibly effective at blocking coronavirus sized particles. Our latest findings suggest that even a gap in the seal of 1.5mm2 may be enough to compromise that protection
