Everyone, EVERYONE I saw this week who had to be admitted for #COVID19 were unvaxxed. Including the 28 yr old who infected her 11 mos old (admitted elsewhere) & the 50 yr old with 1 lung (previous lung CA) & asthma who thought not getting vax was his best option. #covidquebec

The consequences of what happened will dig deep inside us even after we will get vaccinated and after the pandemic is over. I am not even sure if an apology which might even not come could heal this. We deserve better. We deserved better.

What happened last week,shouldn’t have happened in Canada.We shouldn’t feel this way of being abandoned and our vaccines getting taken from us in front of our eyes while we still provide the best care to our patients & risking the health and life of ourselves and our loved ones

For the first time ever, I go to work with no excitement or enthusiasm and with a low mood since the beginning of pandemic in March 2020. I never lost sleep worrying if I will get infected or if I will transmit it to my loved ones, but I am loosing sleep now over this injustice

How this would affect the morale and the mood of theses health care workers who suppose to get vaccinated and their dream shattered down in less than 12 hours before the start of the day?

and then when a group of us (another 75) got booked for first dose vaccination last Thursday,it got cancelled last moment & @EOHU_tweet literally came and took our 75 vaccines from the hospital to the LTC without even giving a notice to the hospital admin or discuss with them!!

Our cases of #COVID19 are soaring up in the community like never before, with many hospital outbreaks (CCU, mental health unit and medical ward). We have currently more than 10 active cases among the staff and at least one physician who is internist/hospitalist..

How come the family members and the hair dressers of the residents in the LTC homes along with the admin staff over there, gets vaccinated before the emerge or icu nurses, PSW, clerks, etc who work in the community hospital setting with a direct contact with #COVID19 patients?

We all understand the priority of LTC home vulnerable population, specially at this time, but many questions raise regarding the inequity and injustice between urban and rural/community setting.

75 out of 800 essentials in the emerge,ICU,OR and other health care settings only got vaccinated after almost 6 week from the beginning of vaccine rollout. The rest might wait for another 2 weeks if not more due to the shortage in the supply..
