I'd like to share some reflections on the death of a patient. I’ve thought about her a lot. She gave me explicit consent to tweet the details of her case, about four hours before she died. Her hope was that someone might benefit from her experience. /1

If only we had some way to prevent measles
So tragic: Alberta baby born with congenital #measles (mother contracted measles late in pregnancy) died shortly after birth. The province, which has had a massive measles outbreak this year, says this is the 7th case of congenital measles in 2025.
