Did not expect to see this on display at @YNHH but itโs a great reminder of how vaccines have transformed healthcare immensely for the better.

It was at my first @sacnas as an undergrad that solidified my decision to pursue science as a career. To come back as an independent scientist w/ that seemingly impossible goal realized is astounding & feel so honored to be back encouraging others to go forward w/their dreams!

This is just nuts. I was not aware that the rate of kids not protected against polio in NYC is that high. Vaccination rates should be close to 100%.
Our new map shows polio vaccination rates for NYC children 6 months to 5 years old. According to our data, 13.8% have not been vaccinated against polio. Polio is highly contagious. The most important way to prevent polio is by getting vaccinated: https://t.co/HVfYyj35LN

BREAKING: The first US polio case in over 9 years happened because they were not vaccinated. They now have paralysis. I don't know who needs to hear this right now, but vaccines work.
