It took me SEVEN years to figure out that you can save a ggplot as a vectorized .svg file ggsave("file.svg"). The svg file can be opened on powerpoint and it will be completely vectorized, even text are still recognized as text boxes! No more recreating plots on illustrator!!!!!

Being 5yrs on the functional side of #microRNA biology, I can say that delivery, stability, and off-target effects are the biggest challenges in developing microRNAs as therapy. @AndreaKasinski lab's great work tackles the stability side. Great work.🫑 https://t.co/CFhuESDBeH

When targeted to tumors via folate ligand conjugation, FM-miR-34a caused sustained silencing of critical oncogenes, such as MET, CD44 and AXL, leading to tumor regression and complete cures in some mice. ~5

Through global transcriptomics and specific phenotypic assays, we demonstrated that FM-miR-34a downregulated more miR-34a targets and caused more robust downregulation in comparison to partially-modified miR-34a, "PM-miR-34a". ~4

We developed a first-in-class fully chemically modified microRNA-34a "FM-miR-34a" that, as a result of the chemical modifications, had outstanding stability and activity, which was orders of magnitude higher than partially- or un-modified miR-34a. ~3
