I always love reading about the new MacArthur fellows. For me, it's especially significant that @Dianagfoster-- whose groundbreaking work in set the stage for understanding the causal impacts of abortion denial is one of the honorees.

After Dobbs, countless people have been forced to give birth to babies they didn't want or weren't ready for. Lationna Halbert is one of them. Here's my months-long project following the financial fallout after someone can't get the abortion they seek:

People who have abortions often go on to have successful, wanted pregnancies later in life. But our research finds that people who are denied abortion care are less likely to grow their families later. We all deserve to grow our families on our own terms.

Our very own @Dianagfoster is included in @Nature's list of ten people who helped shape science in 2022. These individuals helped to make amazing discoveries and brought attention to crucial issues. Congrats! 🎉
