I actually think this is super weird. I’m a huge music fan and I also love Miranda Lambert but those girls could’ve saved up months to see an artist they love and wanted to commemorate their time there. Now this will be their memory.
It feels like we should let people enjoy
Miranda Lambert stops show to call out two fans taking a selfie:
“These girls are worried about their selfie and not listening to the song, it’s pissing me off a little bit. Sorry, I don’t like it at all. We’re here to hear some country music tonight. I’m singing some country
Sex is cool but have you ever made an educated guess about consumer behavior based on previously gathered data and shopping patterns and seen a 2x conversion rate increase?
People can be so sh*tty about this but I love seeing brands use Canva templates.
It means they’re trying.
It means they are doing a lot with a little (and saving $$)
It means they know quick social matters.
This is why that app exists. Stop calling people out 🙄
Stop doubting your content ideas. Seriously. Just create.
There is literally a SIX YEAR OLD being paid actual $ and making brand deals bc he "professionally" RATES SHIRLEY TEMPLES.
I always think about shirley temple kid when I'm hesitating. There is an audience for everything.
Small businesses are closing at a rate of ~800 smb’s per day.
Instagram, you really couldn’t give them a swipe up? We just couldn’t go ahead and do that right now?
SAy wHaT YOu waNt AbOut BaRsTOOL SpORts but the folks there are more outspoken re mental health awareness/management than I’ve seen from anyone that isn’t like, headspace.

I’m gonna need my bf to stop walking around my home singing “what it do baby, it’s the ice man paul wall” while I’m simply trying to wind down with a tea
What's the weirdest piece of feedback you ever received from a manager?
At my first job, my manager told me she stayed up all night soul-searching as to why she found me annoying & was trying to figure out solutions to help me be less socially awkward and came up with nothing.
Impressed by any social manager who has a personal brand.
Running a brands multiple social platforms can be all consuming…so growing your own social presence on top of that? Just really impressive.
Grief is weird. I’m refinishing a wood table for my apartment so naturally I have to get suppli s and I’m fully crying in my car outside of Home Depot. My dad would have had all the answers. Sometimes it sneaks up on you.
I always expected the greatest marketers to be industry vets in the c-suite.
In quarantine, I have met some of the best & they are all young people. They are on the ground & they are creating at the speed of light.
Don’t overlook your peers y’all, they’re doing amazing things.

HEY GUYS LIFE UPDATE: I figured 2020 wasn't quite challenging enough so....I launched my own social agency: all thorns, co.
I am so nervous but also never been prouder. It’s early but I wanted to tell y’all. Let’s ride.
As an intern, I was told by an exec that it was unprofessional to “dress brightly.” With her in the back of my mind, I spent my first 3 years of work/life only buying neutrals.
LOL. Anyway here’s my favorite bright red sweater bc we’re all working out of our bedrooms now anyway.
sip your coffee slowly this morning, go for a run then let’s crush that crippling to do list.
Just remember we’re legit on a floating rock everything is fine even when it’s not.

I think this is a fair viewpoint, I also think artists see more than you realize (especially in the first few rows) and they didn’t necessarily need to be disruptive to catch her attention. But again, short clip with little to no actual context so you could be right!
I've been a non-drinker now for exactly a year. Today is my 1 year anniversary, and I'm super proud.
I don't often say I'm "sober," because, while I don't drink ever, I have had sips of things here and there throughout the year that I thought were intriguing (wrexham beers in
Some days, work from home requires a fabulous playlist. Some days, it requires a tv show playing in the background. Some days, you've already put in three hours of work in total silence and didn't even notice.
Cancel culture is the single most close-minded, toxic bandwagon way to navigate the internet, especially when it comes to cancelling whole humans. There’s no growth in that discourse.
I love when other departments refer to social as “the fun job.” Like yes between fighting for my life in the comment sections, the DM’s, the creative feedback sessions, the writers block, the data breakdowns and the intern jokes…it is sometimes a fun job.
Lately, I feel like I can only hang out with people who understand that everyone is busy, everyone has things on their plate.
If you need to bail, bail. If you need space, you need space. If you are just calling to check in but have to go in five, go in five.
As a reminder, if you do something nice for someone this season (like give a struggling family wild amounts of cash) and you film it for social media, that’s really really weird 🙂🙂
Pay attention to the fact that the
@PremierLacrosse
tournament hasn’t even started & they’ve had consistent content ramping up for WEEKS. These guys are in hotel rooms & STILL producing content.
Watch this social team right now. Player-fueled, fan-centric social. They get it.
I’m building out an influencer program this season. During COVID. To say this is uncharted territory for me would be an understatement.
If anyone is interested in what I’m learning about influencer efforts on a COVID budget for a smaller brand lmk. This is ~learning together~
Men pls stop pretending it’s so hard and/or embarrassing to remember your girls oat milk latte order when you know the height, weight and receiving yardage of every football player ever
Okay so I’m 28 now. That doesn’t mean much in the grand scheme of things but here are 8 big things I’ve learned personally and professionally:

My dad was my best friend. Today he would have been 58.
I have a few photo shoots to get through but then I’ll spend some time writing, crying, eating way too much food, and listening to his favorite music.
He was the best of them; the world is much harder without him.
You should be angry.
You should be angry if you’re a women, you should be angry if you’re a man, you should be angry if you’re a human.
This is a human rights issue. What are we even fighting for anymore.
I’ve spent the last six months hiding my tiktok from my college friends due to the obvious fact that I’m 26 and only funny to me and then
@barstoolsports
posted it and let me tell you the group chat has GONE OFF.
This is fame I guess.
No one talks about how you have to consume tiktok to understand relevant creative opportunities within tiktok trends but how when you create tiktoks for a living the last thing you want to do is consume tiktoks
I have a confession. I have never once opened my laptop after a long weekend and panicked. I am checking my emails every hour on the hour. I know exactly what that horror show is going to look like.
How do you guys just, not look? My anxiety could never.
hey facebook!
could you stop showing my CEO an ad from four months ago that literally does not exist in any ad set (retargeting, prospecting, test or otherwise) so I can have just a lil job security today??
tysm.
People really made these young kids megafamous because they liked the way they danced in 15 seconds or less and now are berating them for not having an educated opinion on the Israel-Palestinian conflict
I cannot stop listening to

talk about how apologetic women have to be about choosing a career-focused life, choosing a family-focused life, or juggling both.
Women are enough and they are doing enough - whichever path they choose. F*ck the standard.
We prepped for months for Prime Day. MONTHS. It all seemed so important. It was all so high stress.
It’s all so ridiculous.
It was the easiest choice to pull back on those marketing efforts and I mean EASIEST. I am fortunate to work with strong, resilient and thoughtful
The more engaged you are with your audience, the less precious you need to be with your brand. The more you take care of your community, the more your community will allow you to experiment with content and format and pushing brand boundaries.

Corporate girl makes the mistake of saying “I have the day wide open” to a few too many colleagues and ends up with the day not at all wide open. The day is actually shut.
Due to an almost exclusively digital professional world, I stopped making physical to-do lists in a notebook.
Guess what radically improves my productivity?
Physical to-do lists in a notebook.
Been having some hard/bad days, and trying not to let that affect my work and personal life HOWEVER I have a plan. So we’re sticking to the plan and things are going to be okay. OKAY? OKAY.
Just think we should all be very careful about how we talk about people in groups on this app. Mental health is at an all time low and you never know what people are dealing with. Choose kindness or nothing.
To anyone having a hard time today because they’re missing someone, I’m sending you love. Holidays of any sort - religious or otherwise - can be tough reminders of exactly who’s missing at the table.
So here’s some personal news: this month last year I made my first deck for all thorns (no I haven’t made a Twitter for my company yet because I’m busy running other peoples OK) and TODAY, a year later, I make enough income to pay off my lil mini coop.
My dad knew he was dying before his diagnosis.
Two weeks before my dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer he called me. He sounded afraid but weirdly resolute, telling me that he felt this bizarre sense that he had accomplished what he was put on this earth to do - get people
The best thing about tiktok is how low budget it is. None of my clients have spent a dime behind the platform (aside from paying me 😬) and we’re building whole, converting communities at a relatively fast clip.
I've never really fed into the work/life balance thing.
For me, it's always been a chaos/calm balance. How much chaos can I invite in & still feel energized before I need a moment of calm?
That said, wishing you all the chaos you can handle and all the calm you need this week.
Time flies when you’re prioritizing your mental health. Six months ago I stopped drinking. Please clappp but if you don’t it’s fine because I’ve never felt better ✨
