IN DEFENSE OF DONKEY KONG:
DK literally ran all the way to the Toy Store after seeing that commercial just for the toys to be sold out.
He went to the Factory (potentially just to complain), but saw that there were loads of toys there, so he just went ahead and took some (1/7)

EXPLANATION:
Yoshi's 3D design debuted in Mario Kart 64, and was modernized in Sunshine. Since then, his design has remained very consistent.
For years, his 2D design in promo art was a modified version of this 3D design, with a few minor elements resembling Classic Yoshi.

Super Mario Bros Wonder has attempted to translate this "mixed" design into 3D. It's not perfect. It looks a bit weird in ways, but it's so cool to see.
I have many problems with 3D Yoshi, which I could maybe get into later, but inshort-- I think 2D Yoshi looks much better

But in the early 2010s, Nakaue's 2D Yoshi art started to change. It's a great "mix" of Modern & Classic Yoshi design (the final 2 images here are Classic Yoshi)-- Most of his changes were with his head. His snout became flatter, his eyes separated, his spikes sharper. Etc.

This is the most expressive Peach has ever looked, and best of all, it stays true to her game design.
They let the eyebrows and mouth move more dynamically. This is how Peach should emote, and I hope this makes its way out of promo art and into actual games and animations.

E Gadd needed to be able to control Gooigi in certain circumstances. Originally he used a remote, but it didn't work & almost killed him. Transferring consciousness was his solution

Leading lore theory is "soggy bones"-- as overdosing on Skeletone Formula:D caused him to become Dry Bowser in Bowser Jr's Journey.

Captain Goomba is surprised when Bowletta (using magic to disguise herself) orders him to kill Mario.
The way he reacts suggests that Bowser doesn't actually want him dead.

Don't know how it is like with other children, but when I was younger, I had no problem playing the same level over and over and over again. My young mind didn't realize how bad I was, it was just having fun.
After a few weeks in SM64DS, I finally got 3 stars and I was ecstatic.

It's almost exactly what the actual Mario games do too.
She's a kindhearted, bubbly girl that is skilled enough to defend herself and stand up and fight when she needs to.
Smash exaggerates it a bit, but it's the same basic premise. The movie changes her personality entirely.

While mostly the same as before, he began introducing more classic-inspired features. e.g. Yoshi's entire head is different & he's sometimes drawn with paws instead of hands

This would also explain the sheer panic of the Toads. Some huge Kong they don't know breaks into their factory, and they immediately assume they are being attacked.

Nah, I still think there's no way it's not Diddy. Diddy was one of the characters that the developers apologized to fans of when MK8 released.
The others were King Boo, Bowser Jr, and Dry Bones, and they were all added into MK8DX. Diddy is the last one.

It was all a big misunderstanding and Mario & DK become friends. DK has two more incidents in the future, which both turn out to be misunderstandings as well. DK was acting like a jerk, but it was at least understandable in the first game when the Toads failed him ao badly (7/7)

When Mario confronts DK, DK is sad, because he went through all that work and never got a single toy. Mario shows empathy and gifts DK a toy, showing that it WAS INDEED THE FAULT OF THE TOADS IN THE FACTORY (6/7)

DK was gonna go right back home probably, but Mario ends up chasing him instead. DK has to protect himself, and the toys, by running away and fighting back.
At the end of the game, DK is mocked by Mario, Toads, and even the toys he stole. He's had enough that day (4/7)

Mario & Sonic isn't canon. It's likely that Mario & Sonic were scaled similarly so they don't look weird next to each other.
Outside of Mario & Sonic, Mario's height is typically pretty consistent, especially nowadays.

I don't think DK was acting with malice, and I also don't think he's an idiot.
He was definitely a jerk in the MvDK games, but I don't think it's necessarily "out of character" like some people claim

Mario Kart 8 committed the unpardonable sin. His teeth are basically always there when his mouth is open and it's awful.
The model itself is bad as well, and it's also outdated.
But since 8 is STILL the last big Mario Kart game, he hasn't got a new, updated model.

Piranha Plant Slide in MK8 ditched a lot of the SMB1 theming for a more generic theme, shared with stages like Donut Plains 3.
In Mario Kart Tour, they've returned back to the SMB1 theming, and it looks great!

You have to come up with some pretty convoluted ways to try to explain a lot of stuff. Mainly how there were ghosts before the war.
