How smears work:
Smear 1 [gets debunked]
Smear 2 [gets debunked]
Smear 3 [gets debunked]
Latest smear [gets debunked] -media response, 'Ah, maybe by itself this doesn't prove anything but in the context of smears 1,2, and 3'.
The power of repetition to manufacture context.

30yrs ago, UNICEF released 2 studies concluding that Thatcher's policies were a 'war on the family'.
2yrs ago, a UN report found Austerity to be an 'ideological project' inflicting needless misery.
Now this national humiliation.
But rich people and chumps still vote Tory.

If Corbyn were truly such an 'unelectable' irrelevance, the corporate media wouldn't still be gunning for him with such enthusiasm, 11 months after Labour lost the election and 7 months after he gave up the leadership.

You're right. Let's keep political commentary to those with the expertise and proven predictive skills of Britain's journalist class. What can some Prof. like John Curtice tell us that Julia Hartley-Brewer can't?

The reason they're not at peace is because Israel is continuing to occupy Palestinian land and build on it. There are 700,000 Israelis living in the West Bank. That is why there is no peace.

Nicky, have you stopped to think that you're not qualified to argue with a professional meteorologist? Have you considered that, while everyone has a right to an opinion, that doesn't mean all opinions are worth the same?
There's nothing that Jeremy Corbyn can do to appease his enemies except disappear. They're outraged by his incumbency, threatened by his programme, contemptuous of his failings, infuriated by his successes, and bewildered by his popularity.
@SkyNews
Are these the same people who are also happy for the poorest to skip meals, don't care about food banks, and aren't worried that thousands of kids are malnourished?
The same people who say 'we should look after our own' when refugees are mentioned, but get irate when we do?
@pritipatel
We don't have a free press. We have choice between a small range of big business-run propaganda rags, designed to sell our attention to advertiser while our pockets are picked.
@mrjamesob
Corbyn's no fool and neither are his team. They know that the only time they get a reasonably fair hearing from the broadcast media is when the election rules kick in (as happened this time last year when his approval rating shot up).
@SkyNews
The plan all along. His little clutch of disaster capitalists don't care about a deal or the UK. This is just an opportunity to enrich themselves and their friends and then leave the rest of us in the ruins.
They'll blame the EU and millions of gullible ppl will believe them.

He's stating that carers, binmen, Amazon drivers and various other people in low paid but important work don't deserve to be warm.
Working class Tory voters, are you getting it yet?
Every once in a while, it's worth taking a step back from the last 3yrs, to appreciate the ferocity of the attack on Corbyn from the political class, media, and business On almost zero evidence,a lifelong anti-racist campaigner is now widely slandered as a virulent anti-Semite.
@jeremycorbyn
@realDonaldTrump
I trust Jeremy Corbyn to stand up for Britain in any trade negotiations with the US. He's demonstrated more backbone during the past 4yrs of media firestorm than the entire Govt.
Boris Johnson doesn't even have the guts to face Andrew Neill.

Enough is known for the world to see that what Israel is doing will be known as one of the greatest crimes of the 21st Century.
By itself, forcing a situation in which an estimated 1300 children have had limbs amputated without anaesthetic, is an obscenity.

Using the slogan 'White Lives Matter' is like showing up at a Hillsborough, 'Justice for the 96' demo with a placard saying 'Justice for All'.
It's like crashing a Suffragette protest chanting 'Votes for Men'.
It is moronic - at best.
Quick word on the Jewish Labour Movement EHRC submission.
1 You don't have to be Jewish.
2 You don't have to be in Labour.
3 Its a pro Zionist, anti Corbyn campaign group.
4 While many instances in its submission will be truthful, they are not new.
5 It's not an EHRC finding.
I want to walk through those riots in London with a megaphone, shouting, 'Yes, your lives are shit. You're frustrated, resentful, poor, and unfulfilled - and it's not the fault of black people or immigrants. You're being screwed by rich white people and you always have been.'
@SkyNews
The overall tax burden is the highest since 1950. The reason for that is 40 years of governments taking money from working people and giving it to the wealthy. Meanwhile, the wealthy use their newspapers to blame immigrants, refugees and those on benefits.
Can the Beeb arrange for Andrew Neil to interview this Greta Thunberg character? Because afterwards I guarantee we’ll never hear from her again. She may even have a meltdown on national telly into the bargain.
@SkyNews
Good to know there's someone with some see decency in the Home Office.
Working class people are continually told to blame our problems on refugees - by the billionaire owned press. Instead of kicking down, we should be looking up. Refugees are not my enemy, the ultrawealthy are.
@GeorgeMonbiot
By the same token, they continually tell us that work is the best way out of poverty and the way to get rich - yet their wealth comes from inheritance and extraction.
@rachshabi
Antisemitism in Labour under Corbyn was real, although grossly overstated. The (inherited) party machinery was clearly inadequate.
But the notion that it was some sort of crisis or affected anything other than a sub-1% fraction of 600k party was entirely a media fabrication.
@SkyNews
Shameful. To make a woman who was groomed and raped by terrorists as a 15yr old child stateless rather than bring her home and give her due process of law. Another black day for British justice.
OK, here's what the Daily Mail is reporting today and here's what Corbyn actually said. Notice how much work '[British Zionists]' is doing and how carefully the DM has arranged its quotes.

Baddiel's books include 'Where God Went Wrong', 'Some More of God's Greatest Mistakes' and 'Who is this God Person Anyway?' He later used the Babel Fish argument as the basis for a fourth book, entitled Well, That About Wraps It Up For God.
It bears repeating: the technique of political character assassination, such as we're seeing with Corbyn, is not to convince those who scrutinise each attack in detail; it's to create an impression in the minds of the voting majority who don't follow politics too closely.
The journalist class appears far more upset by Boris Johnson saying he'd let thousands of people die to protect corporate profits than they were at him letting thousands of people die to protect corporate profits.
On a short break, I've had the opportunity to talk to a non-scientific sample of what I'd call non-political people about Jeremy Corbyn. Without exception, all of them think the media is simply out to get him. The disregard for the media is quite striking.

Plus, the party's social media strategy has paid dividends, helping take it to its highest vote share since 1997. Whole sections of Labour support simply aren't that interested in broadcast or print news.

GB Shaw once found one of his own volumes in a 2nd hand shop. Inspecting the flyleaf, he saw that it was inscribed with his compliments to a friend.

Israel has illegally occupied Gaza and the West Bank since 1967. That is an ongoing, daily attack, killing 1000s. To say that the Palestinians 'started a war' with their occupiers is absurd. One doesn't have to condone the Oct 7 attacks to acknowledge this.
@SarahRosemary3
@mrjamesob
Corbyn made 123 media appearances to support Remain - this compared very favourably with Alan Johnson, the leader of the Labour Remain campaign, who managed just 19.
The antisemitism smears against Corbyn* don't withstand scrutiny but they're not intended to. They're not aimed at people who pay close attention to politics. Theyre designed to be an impression at the back of the minds of the millions who don't; a vaguely remembered deterrent.

Israel withdrew ground forces from Gaza in 2005, but it openly retained control of Gazan airspace and territorial waters. This means it remained the occupier under international law, as confirmed by the UN, the ICRC, and most recently, the pre-trial chamber of the ICC.
@JasonCowleyNS

The Israeli Govt is an illegally occupying power. It has zero right to give instructions to Palestinians living outside of Israel's legal border.

Russia has genuine security concerns abt NATO.
Russian aggression against Ukraine is a crime.
