That last sentence is everything. I can do any number of adult learn to ride sessions in a nice traffic free environment and have the trainee leave happy, but I always try to follow up with an on road confidence ride too.

The Loop Line is great, however, a lot of its access points are inaccessible for anyone with mobility issues and it doesn’t connect with other cycle infra very well. Great cycling and walking spaces in isolation can’t and won’t shift transport choices away from cars.

Successful Learn-to-Ride session in Ainsdale this morning. One very happy 8 year old whizzing around on her new bike and one mum off to buy herself one (and book a skills session with me) so they can ride together!

I went down London Rd Liverpool this am 1st time in about 10d and these signs have appeared. So now if a cyclist is left hooked when following the road markings it’s the cyclist’s fault! Also sign blocks the cyclists’ view of their traffic lights @CycleLiverpool @LiverpoolWande1
