A very interesting question is why academics almost uniformly make fun of conspiracy theories…when presented by colleagues at least. Los Alamos, Tuskegee, Human Terrain Systems, etc. all involved conspiracy BY ACADEMICS. Some were good. Some bad. Some ambiguous. But isn’t it.
