If Donald Trump applied for a regular government job, he wouldn’t just fail the clearance, he’d be escorted out in handcuffs by the guys delivering his background check results. The dude is a liar, a thief, and a failure and if there were justice in this world he’d be in prison.

NEW: Some Republicans push to undo gambling tax hike they passed in Trump's megabill. House tax-writing W&M Chair @RepJasonSmith told me Wednesday it was a “mistake” by the Senate and needs to be undone. TED CRUZ wants it gone: "None of us knew about it".

Oklahoma has multiple programs that *pay you to move to Oklahoma* so I'm guessing it's not just an income tax problem.

We’re phasing out Oklahoma’s income tax— finally. And once we get to zero, Oklahoma will be rollin like never before.

In "What's the Matter With Kansas?" the authors deal with why heartland Americans were voting to destroy their own way of life. (The answer is racism and sociocultural panics.). A rich liberal voting for someone who might raise their taxes is a vote FOR their way of life.

My only contention here is that it's not *actually* against their economic self-interest. Paying taxes is directly in your interests, unless you plan to privately fund all parts of society that you currently use and enjoy.

.@MichaelRStrain thinks there’s something of an irony in how rich liberals who for years have griped “What’s the Matter With Kansas?” are now in some ways voting against their own economic self interest. @ConstanceHunter says that actually it’s perfectly rational for rich people
