Thanks to a friendly neighbour who raised the alarm, our resident female swan was rescued yesterday by the heroic Harry and Dan. She had been missing for 48 hours and her mate was looking dejected, so we looked everywhere for her round our lake - no sign. Then out of the blue -

Our work continues with the story of RPD Tess - a beautiful Belgian Malinois - who served with the @nuclearpolice and had an exemplary career before having to retire due to arthritis. We met wonderful Tess and her equally wonderful Dad @dizbhoy80 on the final day of the Lands

Poor Tess has SLO. Her body is attacking her nail beds and she could hardly walk. She is getting there on meds but a huge thanks goes to @The_NFRSA who have been instrumental in helping with this so thank you so much. It’s so appreciated 💜🐾💜

This - absolutely this. I was going to write a post about #Panorama this morning, as I too watched the programme last night and was shocked by the behaviour of the officers featured, but please read the post by @UKCopHumour - it sums it up perfectly.

Can we all remember that every single member of the emergency services is someone’s son or daughter. Would you like someone to physically and mentally abuse your son or daughter. Just because they are in uniform doesn’t mean they don’t have feelings or a heart.

If it looks like a duck, & quacks like a duck - it’s pretty much going to be a duck. Anyone can attempt to reinvent themselves in a different format, with new feathers, or glamorous promises - but eventually, the truth will surely out. I’ll share the tale with you one day.
