Stark has finally made it to his very own pool and his health has most definitely improved with a bit of sun & warm weather☀️🐾

Happy 8th Birthday to RPD Stark and the rest of the Games of Thrones litter. To celebrate he’s off on his holidays to Spain 🇪🇸. Having been so poorly recently it’s a minor miracle he’s still with us let along able to travel to Spain. 🐾🐾

A huge thank you to @The_NFRSA for their very generous grant in assisting Stark with his much needed steroid injections yesterday. The great news is they already seem to be having an effect and he’s doing really well today now the sedation has worn off. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🐾🐾

Stark out for a morning stroll with his Game of Thrones sibling Arya

5 months ago Stark exploded a disc in his back which damaged his spinal cord, leaving him unable to walk and barely able to stand. This ended his Police career & I wasn’t sure what his long term quality of life would be. Now he enjoys his walks and can even jump into the truck!!

Together PD Mickey and I worked the commonwealth games, conduct searches for members of the royal family, including the king as well as numerous other searches. Mickey also gets to retire with me and complete the family. (7/8)

I also cannot forget PD Bobby who was my first explosive detection dog. He lost his brief battle with cancer 2 days before his second birthday. It still breaks my heart to this day. However, I was exceptionally lucky to get the lovely PD Mickey 3 years ago. (6/8)

However, without exception the best partner I’ve ever with has to be PD Stark. I’ve had the absolute privilege of being his handler for the last 6 years, where he has had my back every hour of every shift. Hopefully I will get to spend many more years with him by my side. (5/8)

I’ve attended 10 Downing Street having heen invited by the then Prime Minister Theresa May. I have made some amazing life time friends and worked with some incredible and brave colleagues. This is what I shall miss the most. (4/8)
