Things I’ve learned in football, that we should pay more attention to: Doesn’t matter how much film you watch as a player/coach if u don’t know what you’re looking for… Doesn’t matter how much you practice/coach something if you don’t know what’s truly right or wrong about

Fans: “We can yell anything we want at you!” Also fans: get hit with reality (and a loss) → “How dare they taunt us!” You can’t heckle for 3 hours straight, then act shocked when the players celebrate in your direction. Actions have echoes. 😂

Just an ugly scene at the end of the game. A group of Oregon players went to the north endzone to taunt the Hawkeye fans, and then the Iowa fans responded by hurling beer cans and other debris at the Ducks. Not a great way to end a classic game at Kinnick Stadium.

Marcus Freeman looked uncomfortable talking about the firing of Brian Kelly, who hired him at Notre Dame. But in paying respect to his former boss, Freeman offered perspective that goes beyond football. “If you’re not grateful for what you have, you’ll find a way to lose it.”

Most adult men should make it their business to consume 150–200g of protein per day to stay healthy, fit, and strong. Why? Because after age 40, are fighting off age related muscle loss. ➡️ ~8% loss of lean muscle every decade if they don’t fight back with nutrition and

An idea that I can't stop thinking about: The Capability Gap Alabama coach Nick Saban refers to the Capability Gap in this clip from a discussion with Holly Rowe: “We oftentimes talk about what someone’s potential is, but I think to put it in better terms...the Capability Gap

Self-awareness defines @oregonfootball. For Coach Lanning, growth starts long before the film session. After every game, players write down their reflections — what they did well, what needs to improve, and where they can level up. It’s not about being told what went wrong —
