I always love to interact with the fans in the moment & when I am doing @westwood1sports doing MNF radio or @NFLGameDay morning, I’m always tweeting about game and interacting with listeners/viewers… so I did the same a couple times when doing TV games in Europe! BUT, I had

Yes this is an interesting conversation… bc I critical situations players want to make plays, so what if it’s a BAD play call? Does QB just give up on play? Do they try to make it work? What the right coaching point? Funny thing is it always comes down to RESULT! If bad play, u
@kurt13warner I noticed that when the Colts owner was asked why she was on the sidelines she made an interesting point. Who really is at fault? The QB for being the field general and throwing a "mistake" or the General/HC/OC for calling the wrong play and forcing the QB and offense to try to

Yesterday I lost someone very close to me & woke up to this beautiful sunrise reminding me of her! She was an amazing, beautiful person that loved me so well & that I count myself blessed to have had in my life!!! Life will never be the same without her, but I’m grateful I had

So dumb when they call “intentional grounding” on a play where there was obvious miscommunication between QB & WR (Wr breaks in, QB throws out)… when it’s not vs pressure, to avoid a sack, just don’t call that!!!

I would just normally harp on it and work on it until they got better at it… but yes if certain guys were just better able to do it, I would design plays around putting players in best positions to be successful & make us successful!
@kurt13warner @brockpurdy13 Kurt, this is awesome, thanks. Question for you--if you have a wr who rounds or drifts on his in cuts, would you adjust the routes you (as a playcaller) would call? For example, maybe have him run the post and the opposite side run the in?

I use “mistakes” in the general terms of: 1) A missed throw they normally should make 2) A missed read that’s seams pretty straight forward 3) A bad decision 4) A TOver that IS their fault (not a good decision that defense makes great play or a tipped ball; or a fumble in the
@kurt13warner What are "mistakes" Ints, Fumbles, taking too long for reads, not going through the reads and only looking at 1 target, not looking off defenders, calling the wrong play, etc... We as fans only see 3-4 mistakes but there are so much more

I’m actually hoping some go the offensive guys see them and make some adjustments!!! 🤣
@kurt13warner Is there any concern tipping off defenses with these studyball videos? You're letting them pick the brain of a scientist (you!)

I love even the subtle little creativity of things like using “jet sweep” motion as the flat element of a good concept… just that unique “eye candy” holds the defense in a different way and helps open up something behind it! Simple, creative & effective!!!

Couldn’t agree more, if ppl would just “use it for good”!!
@kurt13warner @brockpurdy13 The level of DETAIL in these breakdowns is really awesome! Kurt Warner is giving this valuable information away FOR FREE.

It does kind of drive me crazy when I post a video and someone has no desire to watch it and will just throw out some other random comment they want to make that has nothing to do with what I’m talking about!! Ugh just watch or don’t… learn or don’t… just don’t throw back some

If you follow me you know I will at times throw out vague takes like this bc I love to see responses on which guy ppl think I’m talking about & how close they are to what I saw on tape!! So I didn’t expect u to know… but also didn’t expect such a harsh take in response!!
@kurt13warner Clearly I don’t; pardon me for misunderstanding a somewhat vague post (in isolation) after being up all night helping birthing mothers. Appreciate your work on and off the field. Carry on.

Let’s get into #TheGreatInterceptionDebate for week 12 with this #StudyBall on @brockpurdy13 INTs from MNF! What really happened??

Yes I asked this question a couple weeks ago to see what ppl thought! I would break it down like this with an avg of 33 atts: Great Game = 6 or less Really Good Game = 10 or less Good game = 13 or less For example: Good game: 23-33 with 6 missed throws, 4 missed reads (could
This is actually something I’ve been wondering lately. How many mistakes in a game does a good qb normally make: How many physical - missed throws How many mental - wrong audible or read?

True but the problem is - the weight we put on the nature of mistakes - 2 QBs make the same mistake, one is intercepted, one is dropped… are they both equally as good?? Answer is YES, BUT most ppl would say NO… that’s what fascinates me & drives me crazy at the same time!!
@kurt13warner exactly, the best QBs are the ones who make the fewest mistakes and still take risks. it's a balance that requires context

@kurt13warner I'm curious your opinion on JJ McCarthy? Looks like he's holding ball too long and maybe not trusting his eyes? Or is he overthinking maybe?

Brilliant… But that’s the problem - you don’t know which ones it’s going to be, so you’re telling me it’s ok for me to make a mistake as long as other team doesn’t catch it… GOT IT, NOTED!!! 🙄
@kurt13warner In that sense you are right but not all mistakes are equal. Mistakes that lead to turnovers are particularly bad & usually lose your team football games.
