Abt 8 yrs ago, a judge went to a judges’ meeting to complain abt me using a laptop. Why? He thot I was using it to record, bc my recount of his quotes were...wait for it...too accurate.
In a victory for journalists, the Nebraska Supreme Court this week amended its rules to allow digital notetaking of court proceedings (including the typing of notes or audio recordings to be used to check for accuracy) without making a request for expanded media coverage. 👏👏👏
