Like those who wanted to stone the woman caught in adultery, we often judge others. Yet, Jesus says: “Let the one among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” Instead of focusing on the faults of others, may we acknowledge our sins and need for God’s mercy.

When stressed and overwhelmed, we often turn to wrong things and places for help and relief. Usually, that makes things worse. Our situation changes for the better when we live as the psalmist says: “O Lord, my God, in you I take refuge.” He is our unfailing strength and peace!
