The Omaha Police Department has received several inquiries regarding the Douglas County Sheriff’s deputy-involved shooting which took place on Thursday, May 22, 2025 near 4811 Pratt Street. 1/

Since no Omaha Police Officers were involved in the incident, and at the request of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office pursuant to Nebraska State Law, the OPD’s Officer Involved Investigations Team was asked to assist in the investigation as an impartial outside agency. 3/.
