.@MayorofLondon London is facing an accessibility crisis & it’s getting worse. The social injustice of what is being allowed to happen is unforgivable. Urgent action is needed to halt any further discrimination faced by blind people in the capital. @KeithPrinceAM @EllyBakerAM
‘The tragedy is that visually impaired people are ending up at the bottom of the pile & are designed out of the environment’ Andrews words about a pavement-less bus stop on the new Lea Bridge Road cycle lane in London. @LouHaigh @simonlightwood we need urgent help on this issue.

Revised planning guidance. Developers can relax. That ‘golden rule’ demanding that 50% of homes on ‘grey-belt’ land be reserved for poorer folk has been effectively neutered in new planning guidelines published today. See below, starting with ‘unless…” https://t.co/HIomB4MjJN

How did this ever get through planning?
This is what our President who is blind said about the bus stop design where you step off the bus onto a narrow bus boarder next to a cycle lane on Lea Bridge Road, Waltham Forest ‘Not fit for purpose. It really is totally inaccessible. These sorts of designs should be scrapped’

Does anyone remember consultation about closing Mill Road Bridge, removing "no right turn" on one of most dangerous juctions in Cambridge & diverting all traffic down Devonshire Road into Petersfield? @cllrkatie @alexspencerCAM @CambridgeGreens

Sentencing due March relating to busway injuries and deaths. Prosecution from failures of @cambscc to protect safety of public. Waiting on details of council's financial situation. 7 to 8 figure fine likely. Have lessons been learnt? @markrwilliamson

Interesting that the previous design for Mill Road bus gate at least didnt involve narrowing the pavement. What measures are planned for Devonshire Road? And will @cambscc confirm it is being used as an escape route and faces heavy lorry use? @alexspencerCAM
@AndrewMartinUK @BBCCambs Mill Road layout was approved 3 weeks after bridge was already closed. Petersfield end, there is no escape route from Mill Road. Kingston Street is no entry. Devonshire Road has no legal right turn. No wonder they made £300k from motorists. https://t.co/MvlxbNSkvl

Dangerous build out installed at base of eastern Mill Road bridge ? Traffic is forced into path of oncoming cars and bicycles. Or cars cutting in front of cyclists and braking hard. Safe or not safe?

‘Eddie Stobart Gets Through’, in conditions not unlike those endured this weekend, sees the somewhat unusual appearance in a Peter Brook painting of a heavy goods vehicle, with the well-known haulier preparing for the steep descent of a treacherous road in extreme winter weather.

Times reporting that @SouthCambs could be among councils abolished in government reforms. Certainly a unitary authority has would be popular with proponents of large-scale growth in ‘Greater Cambridge’ - in reality overwhelmingly in South Cambs. (1)
