This is absolutely bizarre! Requiring an 80% super majority on decisions would mean that both DUP & SF would be able to block any decisions, as they both have over 20% of the Council. This is exactly why we need reform, it doesn’t work in Stormont and it won’t work in Councils.

Today, DUP Education Minister Paul Givan blocked two North Down schools from becoming integrated despite a majority of parents voting in favour. Integrated education is a cornerstone of the united community we're trying to build. The minister must urgently explain his decision.
