We are deeply concerned about the situation in Gaza. We have lost contact with some of our Palestinian colleagues on the ground. We are particularly worried for the patients, medical staff and thousands of families taking shelter at Al Shifa hospital and other health facilities.

A raconteur, poet and songwriter, we will never see the likes of Mickey MacConnell again. The MacConnells were a hugely talented family from Bellenaleck & Mickey’s sister Máiré was a legend in Enniskillen. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam💔.Sympathies to his wife Maura & family.
I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Mickey MacConnell, singer/songwriter from Co. Fermanagh, author of one of our finest ballads, "Only our rivers run free" my he R.I.P.
