True. Unpopular opinion: The pledge is sus. I’m not a fan. It’s a late addition. Even more strange: did you attend a Christian school where you also pledged to a Christian flag (a flag!) and to the Bible? I did. Three pledges every day. All followed by songs.

I guess I’m over the target. Defeating the 1a with the 1a is a logical contradiction and they’d rather attack the messenger of their shenanigans. Same with wanting a country but loving open borders. Or wanting a tolerant society but celebrating what should only be tolerated.

On flag burning…. I think it’s stupid to make a law against it but good for laws against inciting riots to which the current executive order is connected. It’s part of a package. Some riots are worse than others. I think it’s equally stupid to burn a flag in civil disobedience.
