Democrats and Republicans are citizens of different countries. Reps are citizens of America. Dems, of Progressivland. So this poll is silly. You only asked one side about pride in THEIR country. You asked Dems about pride in a foreign state that sometimes allied w theirs.
Why does Democrats' pride for their country largely depend on who the president is, while Republicans' pride remains unaffected?. What fundamental difference in how the two parties view America explains this split?
