Efforts are underway to ensure that any donations received and assets acquired make their way to organisations who are working to provide active solidarity with those making the dangerous channel crossing and those campaigning for safe passage.

It is with deep regret that we announce the closure of Channel Rescue as an organisation. This is due to unresolvable circumstances beyond our control. We’d like to thank everyone who supported, contributed and volunteered with us.

There are no UN agencies present in northern France. No IOM. No major aid organisation. The French state provides nothing - not even drinking water. With no processing centre in Calais, Dunkirk or anywhere nearby there is no choice but to cross in a small boat, as she well knows.
