Rising child povertry isn't newsworthy? It's like we're imprisoned inside a billionaire-owned system that scapegoats migrants & Muslims for the problems billionaires & Govts cause, & conceals from us the reality of the obscene levels of inequality & poverty in Britain. #CPC24

#THREAD 'The UK: international child poverty outlier', by Danny Dorling After 45 years of neoloiberal economic policies, the UK has not only one of the highest rates of child poverty in the rich world, but also the most rapidly rising rate in this grouping. #TaxTheRich

Looking for a Bristol based wholesaler (toys, sweets, activities) that might want to work with us to spend the £1800 we raised for the kids who were scared shitless in the hotel last night while we held off the far right who were raging outside. Any leads or contacts hit me up.

An awesome gig coming up on Valentine's Day at the venue The Mount Without, featuring local musical gems Hangover Square (think Ry Cooder mixed with Bjork and a hint of Radiohead) and the stunning @saddestcypress (dream pop). All proceeds go to Oxfam. Info https://t.co/Xk3RWB9G60

A digger is now destroying the hedgerow at Yew Tree Farm to put up an unnecessary second gate, this is part of the destruction of Yew Tree Farm so Redrow can develop it. Photo shows a field with a yellow digger in the background next to the hedgerow.

The end of a family farm and Bristol's very last. I blame @BristolCouncil for this injustice and attack on my heritage. You could have done so much more to protect us. I will fight to the end but now I will cry. So, so sad.

At least in England we have one leading politician clearly calling out Brexit damage for what it is… …and opening up forward-looking debate on the Single Market and Customs Union. Good on you, Sadiq Khan. 👏👏👏

HOW the fuck is that allowed to happen. £1 per acre. One Pound PER ACRE🤯🤯🤯 And the main beneficiaries raked in £50 million profits in one year. That's nearly £1million per week. Nice gig if you can get it, isn't it???🤬

The Teesworks accounts confirm the shocking truth that 110 acres were sold for just £97 to the company 90%-owned by associates of @BenHouchen. When asked by @liambyrnemp about the scandal, @michaelgove said he’d not received the panel’s report. They need to check their emails.

This would have been worth extending the running time of the program for. Fuck ‘Heathrow: Britain’s Busiest Airport’, I wanted to see more of Hislop tearing Jake Berry a new one.

Hi again @GWRHelp. I still have not heard from you on here. 😔 Meanwhile, I have appealed again for what is, quite frankly, me being fined for taking the only course open to me given that 3 out of 4 trains were cancelled on the evening in question. Please help. Ref no. GWP448216.

5-10% of the entire trade deal with India will be going to Infosys, owned by Rishi Sunak‘s father-in-law. Every single deal that Sunak does is with someone that he knows or is related to, corruption is his name.

2/2 a ticket, but the guard rushed past me. Despite these failings and my attempt to buy a ticket on the train and as soon as I reached Bath Spa, I was fined £59.30 for not having a ticket. Hardly for want if trying on my part. I always pay my way. This makes no sense. Please help

1/2 @GWRHelp. I travelled from Clifton Down to Bath Spa on the evening of 6/12/23. The train before and the 2 trains after mine were cancelled. Train arrived as I reached the station so I got straight on. The Bath train was waiting at BTM, so got straight on. I tried to buy...

I'll say this again ...The money the Tories threw away on Test and Trace would have paid for a 15% pay rise for every NHS worker from now until 2058. Instead they took that money and gave it to each other. When will the arrests begin?
