We asked the Portfolio Holder for Transport to join us in Bromley Town Centre to inspect the broken solar paving blocks. Many are trip hazards; evidenced by a serious fall by a resident who contacted us recently. The worst blocks will be fixed ASAP, with most replaced by Spring.

We have received reports from residents about a major water leak on Masons Hill, Bromley. @thameswater has attended initially but the leak continues. This is a @TfL red route as well.

A stonker of a night for us. Three huge wins, Reform nowhere near us and the Tories down to ten percent in Mel Stride’s own seat. We are the only party taking Farage on and the only party beating him.

Fire at Beckenham Odeon cinema — Fire Service urging people to avoid the area. Hope it’s brought under control quickly and that no one’s hurt. Huge respect to the brave emergency crews. Too early to speculate on the cause. We’ll update as we know more.

Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters have been called to a building fire on High Street in #Beckenham. Please avoid the area and keep windows & doors closed due to smoke travel. More to follow

We had a good session out on the doorsteps, speaking to residents on Sunday. Lots of issues raised including speeding traffic & road safety, libraries and planning. Good to get more people signed up to our fortnightly newsletter, which you can do here: https://t.co/tXWy8Omihl

We've been calling on @LBofBromley to do the necessary desilting work in the lake in Church House Gardens in Bromley, for three years. It is now in a terrible state. It's time to prioritise this long overdue maintenance. Please sign our petition ⤵️ https://t.co/JOgYQlVkfa

Great to be out speaking to residents on the Palace Estate yesterday - several concerns about development plans for old Civic Centre site , especially in view of the planning decision for 1 Westmoreland Road. Thanks to everyone for their time and welcome. #bromley

Great opportunity to get out on the doorsteps in Bromley Town and speak to residents this weekend. Councillors @JulieIreland & @samdwebber met a number of @Clarion_Group tenants and we will be following up on issues around security and building maintenance.

We have a by election in West Hampstead next Thursday. I hope Janet wins, she is dynamic & does the work of a councillor anyway. She opposed the lack of affordable housing in NW6 ( 1 bed Liddell Rd=£650k)-alongside Tulip Siddiq, also in the “No” camp!

The #SummerReadingChallenge is in full flow at #OrpingtonLibrary & yesterday we had a fantastic #HungryCaterpillar event when lots of children & families gathered to hear this classic story by Eric Carle & other brilliant books about nature and the outdoors. Enjoyed by all!
