HRH The Duke of Kent today opened the newly refurbished Brentwood Borough Council Town Hall on Ingrave Road.
Following a £15m refurbishment the Town Hall now offers commercial space, a community hub and residential flats.

Thorndon Country Park on Saturday with his Dogs Trust hi-viz jacket on, dog searchers found him today - Horrah! Brentwood Council works with Wallace Kennels when dogs are found to ensure they are secure and safe until they can be reunited like Rio.

The Brentwood Dementia Action Alliance (DAA) held its first official meeting at the Town Hall today. The Alliance is made up of organisations working together to make services more accessible and friendly for people affected by dementia and will work with the wider PAN Essex DAA.
VE Day on Friday 8th May will be celebrated virtually given the challenges the country currently faces. The council plans to prepare a video for all residents highlight VE day in 1945 in Brentwood.

Following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, local dignitaries will gather tomorrow to hear the reading of the Proclamation of the new King.
The Proclamation will take place outside Brentwood Town Hall at 2pm on Sunday 11 September.
Residents are invited to attend.
Jessica Evans, 15, has used the lockdown to raise money for the NHS by making home made face masks for adults and children.
With more than 430 orders taken and made, Jessica has raised £500 for the NHS.
