I don't know who needs to know this who isn't already aware, but:. Garrett Crochet is leading the AL in wins, strikeouts, and ERA+ (and is 2 outs short or 1 earned run over leading the AL in ERA). Only Tarik Skubal has him beat in bWAR, fWAR, xFIP, etc.
Garrett Crochet wore 34 in college and will have to give up 45 now too. He'll wear 35. But he says getting to talk baseball with Pedro Martinez would pretty much be his "ideal world," and he's looking forward to running into him at Red Sox spring training.

Tarik Skubal (age 28) was lights out last night. He is most likely on his way to winning his 2nd consecutive AL Cy Young Award. Here is Skubal’s season compared to Pedro Martínez’s age 28 season. Think of how unhittable Skubal looks. Pedro was just from another planet.

It makes sense to me that bad teams show up on leaderboards of best W-L records in 1-run games, or that good teams show up at the bottom of those lists. A bad team is more likely to scrape by in their wins, and a good team is more likely to win by more than one run more often.
