#Braves' 1B Matt Olson and SS Nick Allen are Gold Glove finalists. FYI, other finalists at 1B are Philly's Bryce Harper and Cincy's Spencer Steer, and at SS, Cardinals' Masyn Winn and Dodgers' Mookie Betts. Olson should win easily, and Allen seems to have at least a decent shot.

The Angels & the Skaggs family presented their opening statements today. They portrayed wildly different perspectives on who's at fault. Two two sides are operating in separate realities. Here's what both sides said, and what comes next. Read: https://t.co/vB8i4FQ8Hv

New column: I wrote about the Strangest DP in postseason history Monday night because of course I did. How can you not wax poetic about a "ground-ball" double play that had no actual "ground" in it? https://t.co/WbpJ5ARaYz

Why in the world the Falcons and Bills won't use these throwback logos and uniforms all the time is beyond me. Both are far, far superior to their modern uniforms and helmets.

Shildt went 183-141 with San Diego and 252-199 since first becoming the Cardinals' manager in 2018.

Surfers at Pismo Beach Pier. And on the other side of the pier, the Western Surfing Association had a contest going that included the U9 (age 8 and under) push-in division. Check out this little dude after a push-in from his dad. #pismobeach

“The ground was shaking every inning.” My oh my. Amazing writing from @TylerKepner on an October classic. I couldn’t wait to read it. It was worth the wait

Still seeking the first pennant in team history, the Mariners are headed to the ALCS for the first time since 2001.

Fun read from @TylerKepner, looking at the intermingled history of the Mariners and #BlueJays, including some bizarre baseball cards from 1977:

When the expansion rosters were announced before the first year of each team's existence, Topps had to get creative with their cards.
