This work stems from @GrilloAnthonyS’s idea to compile over a decade worth of data in these mice. We are grateful for the help of countless undergraduate students who gathered all the data, and for @mkaeberlein who funded the majority of the studies these data are taken from. 6/n.

Excited to share our latest publication in @GeroScienceAGE: "Ndufs4−/− mice: a testing ground for longevity interventions". In this paper, @GrilloAnthonyS and I introduce a transgenic mouse model exquisitely sensitive to longevity interventions. 🧵 1/n.

With the holidays I missed the boat on sharing this little eLife Magazine piece I wrote last month. A small commentary on a very nice paper by Dylan Sarver and Will Wong at Johns Hopkins.

I don't usually post about private stuff on Twitter/X but I feel this is important.@SeaPubSchools is planning on closing my children's elementary school upon budgetary concerns. The aftermath for my son and other children on the spectrum could be dramatic.

Come hang out with yours truly and a number of far more deserving scientists (@BBParis1984, @CristalM_Hill, @OcanasSR, and @MattYousefzadeh for example) this summer in Bregenz. Great science in a great atmosphere, and very affordable for trainees!

The quirks of NIH funding should not hinder the awesome science of the Dog Aging Project. Please help if you can!.
Help save the Dog Aging Project. Despite being one of the most influential, productive and impactful NIH supported projects over the past 5 years, the National Institute on Aging has inexplicably chosen to withdraw support for the Dog Aging Project. For now, I’m won't get into.
