Kicking off #SITC2024 with a pre-conference TIL symposium. The first session was a wonderful summary of the history of TIL discovery and development from the FIH trial in 1988 and the first marketing approval this year.

Same thing applies to supervisors/managers/leaders outside of academia. Just because you’ve been subjected to poor leadership doesn’t mean that you cannot break the cycle.
Three types of supervisors:. Type 1: I was mistreated, so I will mistreat my students. Type 2: I was mistreated, and I didn’t like it, so I won't do the same. Type 3: I was treated well, so I will treat my students even better. What we learn from our experiences is up to us!.
