I want to connect the dots. The rush to call Renee Good a terrorist, the rewriting of Jan 6th - it's all part of Trump's campaign to use violence to protect his power. A world in which our leader gets to shoot or attack us if we oppose him - that's a dystopia we cannot permit.

15 years ago, a gunman opened fire at a grocery store. 6 people were killed and 13 were injured – including my friend @GabbyGiffords. Since then, Gabby has turned that tragedy into action as one of the most impactful leaders in our fight to end gun violence. She is my hero.
Today marks 15 years since a gunman tried to assassinate me. He shot 19 people and killed six. I almost died, and think of those who did every day. As I look back on the years since I was shot, I’m reminded of how much is possible when we reach across divides and find common

Over the past year, too many communities have been terrorized by armed, masked immigration agents, and now we’re seeing the devastating consequences in Minneapolis. This shooting shows what happens when rights of Americans and constitutional values are ignored. This has to stop.

According to another eyewitness, ICE gave the woman they killed contradictory instructions, then aggressively surrounded her vehicle. One told her to leave, then as she complied, another tried to open her car door & told her to get out of it, while the killer got in front of her.

This is rather dramatic but lost in the general media turmoil over everything else - 🇺🇸 is withdrawing from 66 international organizations and treaties, most notably everything connected with climate change, democracy and rule of law.
Today, President Trump announced the U.S. is leaving 66 anti-American, useless, or wasteful international organizations. Review of additional international organizations remains ongoing. These withdrawals keep a key promise President Trump made to Americans - we will stop
