As a young hustler in the trenches, with no trustfund or identified talent, education is your best bet at changing your life. Don’t let faux motivational speakers & lucky outliers deceive you, you need school like mad, get educated, it’ll change your life❤️

I just released an article on my journey to matching into residency. Tried to be as detailed and honest as possible, hopefully it answers some of the questions I’ve been getting lately. Grateful for all the kind messages. Hope it helps someone out there https://t.co/E29Lg6yiI4

Wrote both USMLE Steps as a student. Completed elective rotations as a student. Attended conferences as a student. Applied as a student. Interviewed as a student. Matched as a freshly minted doctor! I’m going to be a radiologist! All glory to God🙏🏼 #Match2025 #UnilagNigeria

Brought my dad to work today. A retired union painter, all he did was stare at my degrees 😊 Degrees that wouldn’t be possible without his emphasis on prioritizing education and working to afford the schools I attended. Thank you, Dad😊

I value friendships where I don’t have to second-guess the person’s intentions, connections that let me trust fully, without worrying about what might be said behind my back. These are the friendships I prioritize💯💯

I’m constantly reminded of a Netflix documentary I watched in college, Half the Sky by Nick Kristoff and Sheryl WuDunn. In an interview with George Clooney he said “talent is universal but opportunity is not” and the profundity of that statement has always stayed with me

With the right mentorship and guidance, most of these brilliant but needy students can easily secure full scholarships (including laptops and plane tickets) to some of the best colleges in the U.S.

Been seeing a lot of posts like this and I think most students aren’t aware they can continue their education in the U.S. on full scholarships. A student who had excellent WASSCE grades is likely to perform well on their SATs too…

on my flight, I was sat beside two kids. The hostess came up to me and asked if i could do her a favour. She said, the kids (8 & 12) were traveling alone and if I could please watch them especially when we touch down. The plan was to hand them over to ground staff.
