Hopefully @CausewayCouncil area will comment usefully this Thursday - 2pm to 7pm in Coleraine town Hall. Always a mystery how Departments can manage to put plans together BEFORE speaking to the community…. @CCAGBusiness @VisitCauseway - what is ‘active travel’ ?

Excellent and extraordinary start to the year with @CausewayCouncil planning office - I actually took a call today from a planning officer keen to make reasonable progress on an application, well done 👍

A very important decision today after appeal in @ANDborough - infill proposal refused and dismissed at appeal @BellArchitects acting on behalf of concerned neighbours. The tide has turned on infill harvesting in inappropriate locations. @ArchitectureNI @RTPINI

Brilliant to secure the planning approval of the Drenagh Orangery with involvement of Causeway planning… superb addition to ⁦⁦@VisitCauseway⁩ - local attractions taking pressure and focus off the Causeway 👍 ⁦@BellArchitects@EventsCauseway⁩ ⁦#limavady

This is the Six Mile River as it reaches the Lough, yesterday. When you favour the economy over the rights of Nature, these are the shocking results. @deptinfra @mhclg @RDeanBlackwood @JamesAOrr @Feargal_Sharkey @niassembly

Could do better… vital feedback from @ArchitectureNI - looking at the @PlanningPortal in #NI. The fact is that for us in the private sector, we have to suffer the poor decision making that led to this. @RTPINI @RTPIPlanners @deptinfra @ExecOfficeNI @NewtonEmerson @newsmulg

This has huge implications for rural dwelling planning, for recent approvals, and for those that are intent on justifying dwellings into gaps that are actually important for our countryside. @ArchitectureNI @RTPINI

“We hold that the decision-maker [@nmdcouncil| has not acted compliantly with its own policies which are designed to protect rural integrity and priority habitats and so the decision cannot stand.” Fantastic news! Well done Gordon! #EJNI

How did we allow this to happen? Maybe, no subsidy? Maybe, painfully slow planning processes? Time to stop wasting the opportunity.
